Dr Goh Ping Ping is a cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. She subspecialises in echocardiography, which is an ultrasound imaging of the heart. She is experienced in managing a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases that involve the heart and blood vessels.
Dr Goh completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1988. She specialised in internal medicine and further specialised in cardiology at the National Heart Centre, Singapore. She then pursued subspecialty training in echocardiography at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA. She is also a clinical exercise specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.
Dr Goh was formerly the chief of the Department of Cardiology at the Changi General Hospital (CGH) from 2007 – 2012. She was the key driver of the acute myocardial infarction clinical programme, which provides advanced and comprehensive care to heart attack patients.
Dr Goh is an adjunct assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. She is a member of the residency accreditation committee for specialist training in cardiology, the medical director of the Singapore Heart Foundation and the official spokesperson for the Go Red For Women campaign, which raises public awareness for heart disease and stroke.
