Dr Leonard Ho is a general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
He subspecialises in colorectal surgery and has a keen interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery including proctology and laparoscopic colorectal resections, transanal total mesorectal excision, colorectal resections with intra corporeal anastomosis, natural orifice specimen extractions and laser hemorrhoidoplasty. He also performs general surgical procedures including hernia and gallbladder surgery, appendicectomy, gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Prior to joining private practice, he was a senior consultant surgeon at Sengkang General Hospital.
Dr Ho graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan award and did his fellowship at China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan, where he underwent further training in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He has been practising medicine for more than 20 years.
Besides his clinical work, he was appointed adjunct assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Ho is a recipient of the Singapore Health Quality Service Award.
