Dr Terry Teo is a paediatric dentist at Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
His main focus is on minimal intervention dentistry for children's cavities, and in using techniques and materials to minimise traumatic and invasive procedures such as extractions. His other passion is in interceptive orthodontics to guide developing jaws and teeth into better alignment.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore and was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award to do a 3-year doctor of paediatric dentistry specialisation programme at the University College of London, UK. During that time, he obtained his membership in paediatric dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK, and became a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He has performed over 1,000 paediatric dental surgeries since 2010 and has more than 15 years of experience.
Dr Teo is a regular reviewer of the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry, and he has research papers published in the European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry, the Clinical Oral Investigations, and the European Journal of Orthodontics.
He is currently the chair of the Chapter of Paediatric Dentists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is also an examiner on the paediatric dentistry specialist accreditation committee. He holds memberships with the Society for Paediatric Dentistry and the Singapore Dental Association.
