Dr Yeo Mei-Wen Lynn

Dr Lynn Yeo is an ophthalmologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

Her subspecialty is in implantable contact (Collamer) lens surgery, LASIK, other laser eye surgeries, presbyopia correction, and cataract and refractive surgery.

She also manages general ophthalmological conditions such as dry eye, myopia control, contact lens problems, flashes and floaters, diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration.

She previously practised at the National University Hospital and the Singapore National Eye Centre.

Dr Yeo graduated from the National University of Singapore and trained in ophthalmology in Singapore and the UK. She obtained her master’s and fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. She is also a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

In the UK, she practised and trained at the Birmingham & Midlands Eye Hospital, the Oxford Eye Hospital (part of the Oxford University Hospitals) before spending 2 years at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London where she did subspecialty training in vitreo-retinal surgery. Dr Yeo later trained in laser and refractive surgery in Singapore.

She was the earliest to perform the VISX wavefront-guided LASIK when it was launched in Singapore. Due to her experience and familiarity with the VISX excimer laser system and CustomVue wavefront-guided treatments, she was invited by AMO to join the CustomVue League, a worldwide group of refractive eye surgeons who are international physician trainers for VISX/AMO lasers. She was amongst the initial group of surgeons performing the procedure when the implantable contact (Collamer) lens became available in Singapore.

She has presented at international meetings and published several scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, with 13 papers as the first author.
