Dr Chia Hui Ling

Dr Chia Hui Ling is a plastic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

She specialises in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Her reconstructive interests include breast reconstruction, skin malignancies, microsurgery and paediatric/cleft reconstructive surgery. In the field of breast cancer reconstruction, she is experienced in microsurgical reconstruction and implant-based reconstruction. She also focuses on enhancement surgeries for the breasts and face, and postnatal rejuvenation.

Prior to joining private practice, she was a consultant plastic surgeon at Singapore Health Services, where she is now a visiting consultant.

She graduated from Barts and the Royal London Medical School in London. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, UK and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. Dr Chia completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the JW Lee Center for Global Medicine, Seoul National University, South Korea, and underwent further training in craniomaxillofacial surgery under the AO CMF fellowship programme in the UK.

While working at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Dr Chia started the first infant ear moulding service in Singapore. She is the only female surgeon, and is one of five selected surgeons approved to perform Motiva JOY Breast Augmentation in Singapore. She is also the key opinion leader for Silhouette Soft Thread Lift. She has been practising medicine for more than 15 years and has performed more than 3,000 surgeries since 2010.

Dr Chia has published more than 20 scientific articles and book chapters. She was a recipient of five research grant awards in Singapore and the UK.

She is the president and co-founder of Breast Reconstruction Awareness Singapore and is a volunteer plastic surgeon with Smile Asia, a charity set up to treat facial deformities through surgical missions.

Dr Chia is a recipient of the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital Service from the Heart Award and the SingHealth 10-Year Long Service Award. She serves on the EXCO for the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Singapore Society of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Surgeons.
