Dr Zackary Chua is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
His specialty is in foot and ankle surgery, and paediatric orthopaedic surgery.
Prior to joining private practice, he was the head of the division of foot and ankle surgery, and a senior consultant at the National University Health System (NUHS).
Dr Chua graduated from the University of Adelaide in Australia and pursued his orthopaedics specialist training in Singapore, completing it under NUHS. Subsequently, he joined KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), contributing to paediatric orthopaedics care. His initiatives at KKH include establishing the SG clubfoot babies support group on Facebook and supporting a multidisciplinary clinic for complex foot deformity reconstruction, where he addressed conditions such as foot drops, adolescent fractures and flat foot surgery.
He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award, enabling him to undertake fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust in the UK. Upon his return, he continued his work at KKH before transitioning to NUHS, where he established advanced services in keyhole ligament reconstruction for ankle instability, ankle replacement and minimally invasive bunion surgery.
Dr Chua is a recipient of the Singapore Health Quality Service Award.
