Dr Lee Kuok Chung is a general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in oncological colorectal surgery and benign perianal conditions. He has expertise in performing advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as advanced endoscopy procedures.
Before joining private practice, he was a surgeon in the colorectal division of general surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Alexandra Hospital. He is currently a visiting consultant at NUH.
Dr Lee graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and later obtained a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He then received the Health Manpower Development Plan Award and did his additional training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer at Yonsei University College of Medicine, South Korea. At NUH, he was instrumental in robotic colorectal surgery and led advanced endoscopic colorectal polypectomies.
Besides his clinical work, he served as the chief convenor for final-year medical students and was a core committee member of the NUH general surgery residency programme. He has 20 years’ medical experience.
Dr Lee has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and has been invited to present his clinical expertise at academic meetings.
