Dr Lim Min Yu is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in in vitro fertilisation (IVF). He is also experienced in laparoscopic surgery for gynaecological conditions, and the care of women in labour and delivery. His expertise in pregnancy care includes the area of vaginal birth after caesarean.
Previously, Dr Lim was a consultant at the National University Hospital (NUH). He continues to be a visiting consultant in the O&G department at NUH.
He studied medicine at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and completed his specialist training in O&G in the West of Scotland. He spent more than 12 years at NHS Scotland honing his skills in O&G and fertility medicine. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK. He has over 10 years of experience in assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection.
Dr Lim is the vice-president of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore and chair of the Singapore International Representative Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
He was an assistant professor in the department of O&G at the National University of Singapore. He was also the programme director of the obstetrics and gynaecology residency at NUH, where he oversaw the training of residents in O&G.
