Dr Ng Peng Soon is a neurologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.
His clinical expertise is in the management of neuromuscular disorders particularly in immune-mediated disorders such as chronic inflammatory demyelinating peripheral neuropathy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and myositis.
Dr Ng was a senior consultant neurologist in National Neuroscience Institute (NNI). He remains as NNI’s visiting consultant neurologist.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore and obtained membership and fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He trained in neurology and neurophysiology at NNI. He is a certified electroencephalographer by the Asian Epilepsy Academy. He went on to complete his fellowship training in neuromuscular disorders at Mayo Clinic, USA.
While at NNI, he was the section head for nerve conduction study and autonomic function testing services.
Besides his clinical work, he was a core faculty member of the neurology senior residency programme, adjunct assistant professor with Duke-NUS Medical School, and a speaker at the 5th and 6th NNI EEG-EMG-AFT & neuromuscular ultrasound workshops.
Dr Ng is a recipient of several awards including the NNI Service Quality Award and Singapore Health Service Award.
