Dr Sam Peh Oon Hui is a urologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in treating disorders of the male and female urinary tract (kidney, ureter, bladder and urethra) and the male reproductive system. He has special interests in endourology as well as robotic surgery on the kidneys (such as partial nephrectomy).
His services include the diagnosis as well as the medical and surgical management of a range of urological problems including andrology, erectile dysfunction and the workup of male infertility. He is also experienced in using laparoscopic surgery to manage cancers of the kidney and prostate.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore and underwent basic training. Following that, he received advanced specialist training in general surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and went on to specialise in urology. He is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine in urology.
He also gained further experience as a urological clinical fellow at the Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He is well-versed in the technique of retrograde intrarenal surgery and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
Dr Peh is actively involved in research and has led several research studies. He has also contributed to many medical journals including the Annals by the Academy of Medicine. He has presented several medical papers at a variety of scientific meetings in conjunction with other contributors.
