Dr Matthew Yeo is a plastic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.
He specialises in aesthetic medicine, aesthetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery. In particular, he has a keen interest in facial rejuvenation, and breast and body contouring surgeries (including post-massive weight-loss contour deformities).
He has performed procedures in Singapore in relation to head and neck reconstruction (specifically intestinal free flap reconstruction), breast surgery, lymphatic surgery, facial rejuvenation and body contouring, and is frequently invited to overseas conferences and workshops as lecturer and faculty for many of such procedures.
Dr Yeo completed plastic surgery training in 2012 and was awarded the Gold Medal by the College of Surgeons, Singapore, for his performance at the national plastic surgery board examinations. He obtained an international fellow position at the China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan, Republic of China, and completed a year-long programme in advanced microsurgical reconstructive surgery in 2013. He has also completed multiple aesthetic surgery observerships in Belgium, Republic of Korea, Taiwan ROC, Thailand, and the USA. He was conferred as a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, following completion of the board examination in 2015.
He is a member of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons, Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has contributed to the development of the Taskforce Report on Aesthetic Medical Practice by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AMS), the AMS Self-Learning Module for Plastic Surgeons. He previously served as the chairman of the Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, College of Surgeons, Singapore (CSS), as well as a council member of CSS from 2015 – 2019.
Dr Yeo is an adjunct associate professor with the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is a member of the MOH Plastic Surgery Residency Advisory Committee that is tasked with overseeing the training system for plastic surgery residents in Singapore. He is a trainer for some aesthetic companies, which include workshops and live demonstrations. He is regularly involved in organising the annual national Plastic Aesthetic Surgery Meeting.
Dr Yeo volunteers at numerous medical missions and participates in charity surgical camps in Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam, with various organisations such as the Republic of Singapore Navy, and the Give Me 5 Foundation.
